He was predeceased by: his parents, Ned Salley and Mildred Salley; his brother Wilson Martin; and his cousin Betty Martin of Winston-Salem. He is survived by: his daughter Joni Andrea Lorenzo (Thom); his grandchildren, Destiny and Lucas; and his son Matthew Salley of Greensboro, NC.
