It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tommie Hughes (Hickory, North Carolina), who passed away on April 19, 2021, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Oscar Woodrow and Lula Mae Ballew Hughes; his wife Pamela Hughes; and his brothers, Homer Hughes, Renous Hughes and Jessie Hughes.
He is survived by: his stepdaughters, Carrie Cox (Ross) of Granite Falls, Kristy Hughes of Hickory, Marcy Cunningham (Jim) of Hickory and Jessica McCall (Casey) of Hickory; his siblings, Linda Johnson of Taylorsville, Jean Patton of Hickory, Clines Hughes (Gerlene) of Morganton and Douglas Hughes (Betty) of Boone; and his son Jason Hughes. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
