It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Velma Cole Jenkins (Hickory, North Carolina), born in Franklin, North Carolina, who passed away on March 1, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Boyd Cole and Lois Cheek Huffman; her husband Horace Irvin Jenkins; and her brother James Doyle Cole. She is survived by: her children, Lisa Dula (Eric) of Hickory and Todd Jenkins (Kimberly) of Hickory; and her grandchildren, Justin Dula of Hickory, Sean Jenkins of Hickory, Zachary Jenkins of Hickory, Michele Dula of Hickory and Whitney Dula of Taylorsville. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
