He was predeceased by: his sisters, Betty Strictland and Margie Mayfield; and his stepson Kevin Shuford. He is survived by: his significant other Dorothy Shuford; his son Robin Shuford (Mary) of Hickory; his grandchildren, Marryanna Shuford of Winston-Salem, N. C. and Kevin Shuford of Hickory, N. C.; his stepsons, Herbert Shuford of Hickory and Eric Shuford of Claremont, N. C.; and his brothers, Johnny Wilson (Sue) of Winston-Salem, N. C. and David Wilson of Newton, N. C.. He is also survived by ten other grandchildren, a number of great grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, and many other relatives and friends.
