It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William Gene Sheets (Hickory, North Carolina), who passed away on December 19, 2018, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his stepdaughter Sandra Sprinkle; and his brother Billy Sheets. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn May Sheets; his sons, Dean Sheets of Valparaiso and Robert Sheets of Granite Falls; his stepchildren, Carla Brittian of Hickory and Christopher Brittian of George Hildebran; and his sibling Dorothy Sheets Woolever of Bradenton, Florida. He is also survived by one nephew and one niece; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
