He is survived by: his girlfriend Judy Shull; his children, Tamara Slape (Sam) of Hickory, Ronda Kelly of Hickory, William L. McAlister Jr. of Hickory, Eugene McAlister (Sherry) of Waxhaw and Wesley Sain of Hickory; his siblings, Vicki Robinson of Tampa and Danny McAlister of Tampa; his grandchildren, Timothy Day, Thomas Day, Taylor Day, Brittany Kelly, Carter McAlister, William "Trey" L. McAlister III, Skylar McAlister, Kinley McAlister, Caleb Barwick, Josh Sain and Andrew Sain; and his great grandchildren, Braiden Sain, Ava Sain and Aubrey Sigmon.
