He was predeceased by: his parents, Wylie Houchins and Grace Milam Houchins Hartwig; and his daughter Laura Houchins Rector. He is survived by: his wife Hilda Beaver Houchins; his son Charles "Chuck" William Houchins, Jr. (Allison); his sister Betty H. Robinson; his grandchildren, Wendy R. Gibson (Alvin), Brenna H. Pence (Matthew), Daphne H. Jensen (Michael) and Elissa H. Williams (Graham); and his son-in-law Dennis Rector. He is also survived by eight great grandchildren, and many special friends.
