He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Robert Gilham and Annie Edward Davis; his adoptive mother Janice Edward Davis; his wife Barbara Ann Elder Davis; his children, Tara E. Davis Smith (Robert) of Walker County, AL and Jeremy Wayne Davis (Melinda) of Birmingham, AL; his grandchildren, Robert Dewanye Smith, Jr., Austin James Davis, Andrew Arrington and Katelyn Arrington; his mother-in-law Louise Freeman; and his siblings-in-law, Pam Wyles, Bonnie Elder, Jessie Harrington and Rickey Elder. He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
