He is survived by: his parents, Paul Alexander Thomas and Dorothy June Lackey Thomas; his brother Raeford Thomas; his grandson Prevette Simpson; his sister-in-law Faye Spicer; his wife Betty McCoy Thomas (Betsy); his children, Kirt Thomas (Jennie) of Stokesdale, Michelle Johnson (Craig) and Keith Prevette (Susan); his grandchildren, Hunter Thomas, Corey Johnson, Jaden Johnson, Krista Prevette and Loren Prevette Steele (Michael); his sister Sandra Thomas Simpson of Hiddenite; Hugh Simpson, John Wayne Thomas (Debbie) of Taylorsville and Katherine Thomas of Hiddenite. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with great nieces and nephews.
