It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Erita Faye Scott Babson of Hiddenite, North Carolina, who passed away on July 12, 2020, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her mother Faye; her husband Robert Milton Babson Sr.; her children, Melvin Gourley and Tina Gourley Williams; her granddaughter Christina Newcomb; and her brother Nelson Scott.
She is survived by: her children, Kevin Gourley of Hiddenite, Robert Babson Jr. of Asheville, Wayne Babson of Statesville, Caleb Babson of Statesville and Roberta Babson Baker of Statesville; her sisters, Sylvia Gourley and Ann Scott; and her grandchildren, Ashley, Jeremy, Justin, Brittney, Anthony, Erica, Chris, Jacob, Alexis and Sheri. She is also survived by ten great grandchildren.
