He was predeceased by: his parents, Foy T. Johnson and Fallie Goodin Johnson; and his siblings, Dwight Johnson, Gladys Kerley and Mae Johnson.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy King Johnson; his son Charles Johnson (Jane); his grandchildren, Allison Brown (Fudd) and Ashley Lineberry (Brian); his great grandchildren, Garrett of Hiddenite, Weston Brown of Hiddenite and Lily Lineberry of Hiddenite; and his sister Dorothy Childers of Charlotte.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Samaritans Purse @ Donor Ministries P.O. Box 3000 Boone, NC 28607.
