She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Phillip Vass and Ruth Burcham Vass; her husband Robert Lewis Yates; and her brother Harry Paul Vass. She is survived by: her sons, Greg L. Yates of High Point, Gary Yates (Terri) of Thomasville and Randy Yates (Tamra) of Trinity; her siblings, Grady Vass of Galax, Virginia, Ronald Williard (Mary) of Galax, Virginia and Pauline Osmer of Gurley, Alabama; her grandchildren, Brittany Bryant (Matt), Ashley Maynard (Dustin), Joshua McCarter Yates (Kate) and Courtney Haire (Ted); and her great grandchildren, Jett Bryant, Piper Bryant, Finn Maynard, Rhys Maynard, Adaline Yates and Hannah Haire.
