He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl C. Cook and Allie Elizabeth Willard Cook; and his brother Barry Cook. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Thompson; his daughter Kimberly "Kim" Dillon of Little River, SC; his sisters, Carlene Smith of High Point, Nancy Mabe of High Point and Linda Welborn of High Point; his grandchildren, Bryan Collins, Matt Dillon and Madison Dillon; and his great grandchildren, Riley King, Emerson Dillon and Ella Dillon.
