It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Mikels (High Point, North Carolina), born in Pinnacle, North Carolina, who passed away on August 5, 2021, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Reitzel Mikels and Addie Lee Stone Mikels; and his siblings, Pat Reavis (Red), Nancy Gough, Joe Mikels, Robert Tedder (Helen Garner Tedder), Clyde Dunlap and Richard Briley.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Ann Garner Mikels; his children, Candy McMahan (Ray), Timmy Mikels and Terry Mikels (Juana); his grandchildren, Blair Mikels Baker (Michael), John Mikels, Abbie Mikels, Alex Mikels (Nancy), Garner Mikels, Mary Mikels and Savanah Mikels; his great grandchild Mary Charles Baker; his sister Carolene Mikels Whitfield (Bobby); and his siblings-in-law, Margie Garner Dunlap, Carol Garner Briley and Ezra Gough. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
