He was predeceased by: his parents, Nane Simmanakhot and Bounma Simmanakhot; his former wife Khampho Simmanakhot; and his siblings, Kee Simmanakhot and Phuay Simmanakhot.
He is survived by: his wife Phet Khamphoumy; his children, Thomas Simmanakhot, Phouvieng Via Jett (Bruce) of Maryland, Kianethong Shifflett (David) of Jefferson and Christina Simmanakhot of Jamestown; and his siblings, Pheuy Simmanakhot, Khamphomy Simmanakhot, Phinh Simmanakhot and Pheuang Simmanakhot. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the MTL Matairlao Foundation, INC.
