She was predeceased by: her brother Charlie M. Cox; and her father-in-law Bob Safrit. She is survived by: her husband Randall H. Safrit; her siblings, Judy Burns and Donnie Cox (Debbie); her mother-in-law Betty Safrit; and her siblings-in-law, Jayn Swaim (Ed) and Dr. Hal Safrit (Nancy). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Debbie's name to Hospice of the Piedmont and to the High Point Lions Club, 719 Skeet Club Drive, High Point, NC 27265.
