She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Barker and Sadie Meadows Barker; her husband William Milam; her daughter Brenda Newsom; and her sister Mary Pittsenburgh.
She is survived by: her children, James Adkins (Sharon) and Drema Vecellio (Floyd); and her siblings, Shirley Effron, Harold Barker and Roger Barker. She is also survived by five grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter.
