It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gloria Askew (High Point, North Carolina), born in Florence, South Carolina, who passed away on September 14, 2019, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Herbert McGinnis and Fannie Gantt McGinnis; her former husband Dennis Hurdle; her son Dennis Hurdle, Jr.; and her brother Bob McGinnis.
She is survived by: her husband Commander Robert "Bob" Askew; and her children, Paul Hurdle, Peggy Stradley and Diane Patrick. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
