She was predeceased by: her parents, John W. Boggs and Tobitha Cheek; and her husband Cline Messinger. She is survived by: her daughter Doris Simmons; her grandchildren, Ken Simmons (Kim) and Jennifer Pickett (Steve); her great grandchildren, Caleb Pickett, Dru Simmons and Dexter Simmons; and her great great grandchild McKenna Simmons. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
