With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Ireland Hopkins Caffey Jr. (High Point, North Carolina), born in Brooklyn, New York, who passed away on September 3, 2023 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ireland Hopkins Caffey and Betty Cain; and his brother Alfred Caffey. He is survived by: his wife Beverly Caffey; his children, John Caffey (Jenn), Chris Caffey (Laura), Patricia Caffey and Suzanne Caffey Tye (Tom); his stepdaughters, Mallory Trivette, Megan Bouldin and Blair Parker; and his grandchildren, Aaron, Megan, Leah, Emerson, Josslyn, Christina and Tracey.

““I knew him many years ago when he would frequent the restaurant I worked at, Laddie and Dukes. He was quite the regular and always asked to sit in my section. Often times alone, we had long chats and many laughs. I visited him at his work one time too. He showed me around the plant and then gave me several cases of beer for the road. He was always very kind and very generous. I’m sorry to hear of his passing and send his family my condolences.””
