Jack Thornton Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jack Thornton of High Point, North Carolina, who passed away on March 22, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, R. M. Thornton and Zelma Pickard Thornton; and his siblings, Delphine Surratt, Mary Nicholson, John and Rex Thornton.
He is survived by: his wife Louise Johnson; his sons, Jack "Buddy" Thornton (Lisa) of Jamestown and Robert "Bobby" Thornton (JoAnna) of High Point; his brother Roger Thornton of High Point; and his grandchildren, Layne, Brooke, Lauryn, Ryan, Lyndsey and Garrison. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to COVID, an outdoor funeral service will be held at 1:00 p. m. on Saturday, March 27, at Deep River Friends Meeting in High Point with Pastor Scott Wagoner officiating.
