He is survived by: his wife Evelyn Gaddy; his daughters, Sylaine Hood (Tony) of Charlotte, NC and Sherell McLendon (James) of High Point, NC; his siblings, Roosevelt (Wilhelmenia) of New Haven, CT, Eugene (Diana) of Laurel, MD, Melvin Maxwell of Wadesboro, NC, Jackie Maxwell of Wadesboro, NC, Cora Harris of Charlotte, NC, Ethel Durham of Shelby, NC, Khristina Mobley (James) of Rock Hill, SC, Glennie B. Holland (Glen) of Charlotte, NC and Audrey Maxwell of Wadesboro, NC; his grandchildren, Desiree', Tony Hood, II (Alexia), Jasmine and Brandon McLendon; and his great grandchild Ja'Rayah McLendon. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
