She is survived by: her husband Alvin Jesse Thompson; her children, Mechelle McFadden, Felicia McFadden Simmons, Rayshawn Thoms (Maria), Vincent Thompson, Jesse Thompson (Kenyatta), Niya Thompson, Natasha (Corey Caldwell), Amiya Thompson and Jaheida Thompson; her sisters, Dorothy Campbell (Johnny) and Brenda Carmichael (Larry); and her sister-in-law Sarah McFadden.
