She was predeceased by: her parents, James C Forbis and Annie Mae Forbis (Hall); her husband William Tippett (Bill); her brother Jimmy Forbis; her sister-in-law Barbara; and her niece Laura Joyce Heavner.
She is survived by: her sister Sarah Forbis Joyce (Frank); her children, Ken Tippett (Pam), Lisa Tippett Gray (Darrell) and Sheila Tippett Todd (Jim); her grandchildren, Lacey Tippett (Greg), Haley Gray Stonecipher (Brett), Joseph Tippett, Zach Gray, Kate Gray, Drew Todd, Alena Todd and Will Todd; and her great grandchild Owen Baker.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, Joann will be buried in a private graveside ceremony on Friday, October 9 at Canaan United Methodist Church in Wallburg.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Canaan UMC Library.
