He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Mays and Winfrey Mays of Beaumont; and his sister Mary Hart. He is survived by: his wife Elva Mays; his children, Clifton Mays, Anne Haddix and Catherine Fedotin; and his sisters, Ella Sherron and Martha Weston.
