It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph Calvin Owens Sr. of High Point, North Carolina, who passed away on January 30, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Elman and Alice Mishoe Owens; his spouse Hester Shelton; and his children, Labreeska Owens, Montise Owens and Joseph C. Owens, Jr.. He was also cherished by six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorials be made to Glenola Baptist Church, 8330 Hwy 311, Archdale, NC, 27263.
