He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph S. Hegedus and Helen Golya Hegedus; and his son Michael John Hegedus. He is survived by: his son Captain; his wife Gail; his sons, Bruce Hegedus (Elizabeth) and Dr. Eric Hegedus (Tess Hegedus); his grandchildren, Joseph Hegedus, Catherine Hegedus, Jack Hegedus and Dr. Haley Hegedus (Chad); and his son Ryan Hegedus (Samantha Hegedus).
