She was predeceased by: her parents, Rev. Vairl C. and Vera Jane Winter; and her brother Nathaniel Allan "Jack" Winter. She is survived by: her husband Clark Mills, Jr of High Point, NC; her children, Lea Ann Mills Rodgers of High Point, NC, Jane Mills Davis (Kim) of Prosper, TX and G. C. "Tri" Mills III (Julie) of Fayetteville, WV; her grandchildren, Meghan Elisabeth Davis, Joshua Conner Davis, Maya Elizabeth Mills, Matthew Clark Rodgers, Catherine Beckett Mills and Landon Hicks Davis; and her sibling's children, Debra Winter Holley (Tim), Steve Winter, Jim Winter (Tammy), Scott Winter, Rusty Mills and Jim Mills.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Read Aloud WV (P.O. Box 1784, Charleston, WV 25326) or Backpack Beginnings at First Baptist Church (422 Neville Street, Beckley, WV 25801).
