She was predeceased by: her parents, James Cleveland and Bessie Wrenn Ayscue; her husband Claude Grayson Hicks; and her siblings, Hurley, Percy, Billy, Jack, Perry, Ora Lee, Louise, Catherine (Teeny) and Edna.
She is survived by: her children, Debra Mauney (John) of Lincolnton, Janet Curlee (Greg) of Kernersville, Jeff Hicks (Julie) of Colfax and Ken Hicks (Phoebe) of High Point; her grandchildren, Julie Parker (Michael), Lori Shearin (Jackson), Jeff Curlee (Alison), Taylor and Trey Hicks; her great grandchildren, Jessica, Lindsey Parker, Jackson, Dawson and Madelyn Curlee; her great great grandchild Anna; her sister Myrna Ray Neal of Wake Forest; her sister-in-law Lois Ayscue of High Point; and also, Connie, Grayson, Claudia Hicks and Susan.
