He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. Geisler and Kathryn Margaret Rumbaugh; his stepfather Edward Simborg; and his sister Sandra Fay Geisler Viant. He is survived by: his sister Gail Simborg Blades; his brother-in-law James Blades; his close friends, Scott and Holly Sheffield; and his friend David S Hedrick. He is also survived by six nieces/nephews; five great nieces/nephews; one great, great niece.
