It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Landy Edwards of High Point, North Carolina, born in Bennettsville, South Carolina, who passed away on July 16, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Aunita Ingram Edwards; his parent Julia McCoy Edwards; his stepfather Zannie Edwards; and his siblings, James Edwards, Cecil Edwards, Pearl Edwards and Earlene Edwards.
He is survived by: his daughters, Phyllis Ingram Palmer of High Point, NC, Elder Joyce "Luckey" Johnson of High Point, NC and Renita H. Williams of High Point, NC; his sisters, Nellie M. Burrell of Greensboro, NC and Jannie L. Workman of Greensboro, NC; and his close friends, Frank Dixon, Steve Walls and Deacon Thomas Foust. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; twenty-five great-great grandchildren.
