He is survived by: his wife Dianne Starks; his children, Shawana Torrence (Warren) of Greensboro, NC, Damon Starks (Michelle) of Hyattsville, MD, Jeffrey Shields (Bernice) of Eden, NC and Lonnie Shields of Columbia, SC; his sisters, Carolyn Norvell (Ronald) of Beltsville, MD, Gwendolyn Blagburn of Suitland, MD and Sheila Starks of Washington, D. C.; his brother-in-law Brandon Monk; his nephew Willie James Robinson; and his granddaughter Nicoriah Bennett. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
