He was predeceased by: his parents, Minnie Villines Johnson Willis and Willie Willis; his son Lofton Matthew Willis, Jr. (Angela); and his siblings, Annie Bell Richmond, Edith Bell Raines, Earl Johnson, George Johnson, Robert Johnson, Willie Johnson and Clyde Willis.
He is survived by: his wife Mamie Marie Miles; his children, Aaron Matthew Willis (Janice) of Whitsett, Teresa Ann Willis of Yonkers, Janice Deloris Stone (Eddie) of Graham, Laurie Denise Willis of McLeansville and Robert William Willis of High Point; his grandchildren, Reginald Maurice Willis of Greensboro, Kristen Willis Russell (Xavier) of Burlington, Kyesha Sherrell Willis of Burlington and Chilaun Dominique Willis of Norcross, Georgia; and his sisters-in-law, Sylvia Ervin of Jonesboro, Mae B. Miles of Burlington and Lila Mae Johnson of Burlington. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
