With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lorene Corns (High Point, North Carolina), born in Sandy Ridge, North Carolina, who passed away on March 10, 2021 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lorene Corns to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Lettie Hawkins Amos and Moir Amos; her stepmother Vivian M. Amos; her husbands, Thomas B. Corns, Sr. and Max H. Nance, Sr.; her brother Leroy Amos (Buddie); and her nieces, Melissa A. Amos and Lynda B. Corn.

She is survived by: her grandchildren, Andrew L. Corns of Sandy Ridge, B. Trent Gabriel of Charlotte and Erin C. Swink (Bowen) of High Point; her sister-in-law Sharron Amos of Graham; her sibling's children, Miriam C. Barkley (Tim) of Greensboro and Rick Amos (Cindy) of Pawley's Island; and her great grandchild Grayson Swink.

Social distancing and face masks are required.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Oak View Baptist Church, The American Lung Association, or The American Heart Association.

“In loving memory of Lorene Corns, In the late 50’s my parents met Tom and Lorene at Lexington Avenue Baptist. All are gone now but their kind deeds, gentle encouragements and family support continue through their children, grand children and countless friends. My sister and I are especially grateful for Lorene’s presence these last years - in many ways she was our “Angel” and we offer our prayers and love to her family. Peace, Prayers and Blessings.”
