She was predeceased by: her husband Johnnie Blassingame; her daughter Barbara Ann Brown; her mother Margaret Huntley; her brother Robert Brown, Jr.; and her nephews, Fred "Amp" McLaurin and Nate.

She is survived by: her children, Johnnie B. Blassingame, Jr. of Wilmington, NC, Clifford Blassingame of Greensboro, NC, Dorothy Blassingame (Hence) of High Point, NC, Daniel Blassingame (Joanna) of High Point, NC and Stevenson Blassingame of High Point, NC; and her siblings, Minister Willie Brown (Virgina) of Sophia, NC, Emma Green (Sam) of High Point, NC, Rev. Rose Reid (John) of High Point, NC, James Brown (Ardis) of High Point, NC, Tommy Brown of Greensboro, NC and Charles Huntley of High Point, NC. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren.
