She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Scott Gossett and Annie Ozment Gossett; her spouse Forris Barnard; her son Larry Barnard; and her siblings, William "Bill" Gossett, Ralph Gossett, Adolphus Gossett, Ada Farrington, Orianna Burgess, Ollie Sampson, Ruby Welch and Elma Kearns.
She is survived by: her grandson Forris Barnard of Thomasville; her great grandchildren, Madison Barnard, Leo Barnard, Philip and Sherri Gossett of High Point; her friends, James, Phyllis Capps, Pat, Bill Rountree, Lois Tucker, Ron and Linda Bansky; and also Wesleyan. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
The family request that memorials be made to the children's ministry at Shady Grove Wesleyan Church, 119 N. Bunker Hill Road, Colfax, NC 27235.
