She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Roland Askins and Nita Askins; her husband Virgil Gurney; her children, Cherie Shepherd, Bill (Leslie Gurney), John Gurney (Karen) and Tracy McDaniel; and her great grandchildren, Maddox Penland, Grayson Shepherd, Madalyn Gurney, Sawyer Pike, Copeland Martin, Savannah Shepherd and Lily McDaniel. She was also cherished by cousins and dear friends.
