She was predeceased by: her parents, Walter Gilmer and Nannie Fuller Gilmer; her daughter Vickie Myers Rowe; her granddaughter Ashley Joines; her husband Ernest Gibson; and her siblings, Mary Emmert, Walter, Sidney and Henry Gilmer.
She is survived by: her children, Sharon Joines of Thomasville, Rita Allen of Thomasville and Ricky Myers (Amy) of Trinity. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association.
