He is survived by: his wife Joan Welch; his sons, Jerry Welch (Sheila) of High Point, Christopher Welch of High Point and Phillip Welch of High Point; his stepchildren, Brian Miller and Amy Tucker; his grandchildren, Natalie Welch, Julie Clendenin (Jason) and Troy Christopher Welch; and his great grandchildren, Haylie and Samuel.
