She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Owens and Annie Lillian Champion Owens; and her siblings, Henry David, James "Jack", Robert "Pete" Owens, Winnie Spencer and Johnsie Kirby (John).
She is survived by: her children, Michael Ellerbe (Janice), Denise Daniel (late Vincent), Willie "Marvin" Ellerbe and Michelle Taylor (Ken); and her siblings, Isaac (Annie Mae), Henry Owens (Betty), Bette Bittle (Curtis), Celeste Bennett (Willie), Essie Marshall (Henry), Inez Wells (William) and Carolyn Pratt (Edward). She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; twenty-five great- children; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
