She was predeceased by: her parents, Harvey Sutton and Pearl Vann Sutton; and her siblings, Elizabeth, Leatrice, Ambert, Otis, Harvey, Raven and Delmas.

She is survived by: her husband Robert "Bob" Malpass of High Point; her son Scott Tucker of High Point; and her siblings, Gaynelle Shipp (Melvin) of Clinton and Billy Sutton (Janet) of Clinton.
