He was predeceased by: his parents, John Adams and Ruth Barcus Thornton; and his brother Danny Adams. He is survived by: his wife Miriam Hain Adams; his children, Ronald W. Adams (Jennifer) of Summerfield, Evangel Trent (Richard) of High Point, Jennifer Gaskill (Lance) of Minnesota and Ronda Howard (Charles) of New York; his siblings, Gerald Adams, John Adams, Gary Adams, Dale Adams and Joyce Barber; and his grandchildren, Nathan Trent, Sydney Trent, Grace Schroeder, Adam Gaskill, Miles Gaskill, Shane Howard, Sarah Howard, Samuel Howard, Susanna Howard, Noah Adams and Jenna Adams.
