He was predeceased by: his parents, George Ralph Patterson and Annabell Estes Patterson. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Jane Crowell Patterson; his daughters, Tammie Murphy (Michael) of Greensboro, Teresa Butler (Scott) of High Point and Trina Patterson of Greensboro; his sisters, Betty Jo McGuire (Ronnie) of High Point and Jeanette Bracket (Bobby) of Archdale; and his grandchildren, Ryan Murphy, Holland Butler, Houstin Butler and Hansen Butler. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
