He was predeceased by: his parents, Eckel Henry Mashburn and Nora Gertrude Lackey Mashburn; his wife Belinda Alice Fields Mashburn; and his siblings, Annette Mashburn Blakley, Louise Mashburn Franks, Eloise D Mashburn and John RIley "J. R.".

He is survived by: his sons, Ray Mashburn (Tammy) and Jeff Mashburn; his grandchildren, J. T. Mashburn, Tyler Mashburn and Hunter Mashburn; and his siblings, Lillian Shelley, Elizabeth Casper, Annie Belle Clary, Teresa Hilton and Manuel Mashburn.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Davidson County.
