He was predeceased by: his father Dr. John Wesley Taylor, Sr.; and his son John Wesley "Trey" Taylor, III. He is survived by: his mother Edna Marion Taylor of High Point; his wife Patricia Irwin Taylor; his daughters, Lynn McPherson of Kernersville and Karen Taylor of Florida; and his sister Sue Moore of High Point. He is also survived by six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
