He was predeceased by: his spouse Katina Perrou. He is survived by: his children, Phillip Nixon (Zoe), Roula Nixon, Georgia Nixon Roney and Angela Nixon Brooks; his grandchildren, Victoria Bailess (Ben), Katina Kefalianos, Spiros Nixon, Stefano Kefalianos (Harlee Warner), Elaina Roney, Hannah Roney, Narena Brooks, Melea Brooks and Alexander Nixon; his great grandchildren, Sia Bailess, Phillip and Alexis Bailess; his sister-in-law Kiki Perrou Hassapelis; his niece Sophia; and his sisters, Anthoula Nicopoulos Sklapanis (Pete) and Maria Nicopoulos Gatsis. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, along with their spouses and children.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 808 N. Hamilton St. High Point, NC 27262.
