He was predeceased by: his parents, Braxton McClellon Cole and Ethel Cranford Cole; and his sisters, Frances Blackburn and Geraldine Lemmond. He is survived by: his wife Maxine Angel Cole; his children, Mark Cole (Laura) of Brooksville, FL and Ann Smith (George) of Archdale; and his grandchildren, Karen Buchanan (David), Lynn Church (Andrew) and Amelia Wellman (Dan). He is also survived by three great-grandchildren.
