He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ratliff and Cathleen Ratliff; his siblings, Michael Ratliff and Cathy Ratliff; and his grandson Rakwon Smith.

He is survived by: his wife Rebekah Ratliff; his daughters, Toya White and Kandice Payne; his stepchildren, Moneka Smith (James) and Willie Smith; his mother-in-law Rebecca Jones; his siblings, Johnny Ratliff (Janice), Sally Ann Ratliff, Robert Ratliff (Sandra), Tony Ratliff, Mary "Sissy" Ratliff and James Ratliff; his parents-in-law, Leo Smith, Teddy Smith, Tommy Smith, Shirley Byrd, Sheila Belk (Michael) and Betty Belt; and his goddaughters, Alisha Byrd and Bria Byrd. He is also survived by 5 grandkids, 2 Great grandkids, other relatives and dear friends.
