He is survived by: his wife Margaret Hollman Thompson; his children, Benjamin 'Ben Thompson (Angie) of Lexington and Amy Thompson (Richie) of Lexington; his sister Billie Carol Michael of Lexington; his grandchildren, Jacob (Hannah), Kayna, Justin, Charlan (Darin) and Brendan; and his great grandchildren, Ellison, Barrett and Maggie Ellis.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the family requests that masks be worn at the service.
