He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Orndorff Leist and Stanley Philip Leist. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Clayton Leist; his children, Philip Ackerman-Leist (Erin), Paige L. Tolar (Robert) and Nathan Leist (Christine); his grandchildren, Asa, Ethan, Addy Ackerman-Leist, Erin, Elizabeth Tolar and Will Leist; and his brother-in-law Andy Clayton (Anne). He is also survived by six nieces and nephews.
